Newcastle United boss Kevin Keegan is quietly confident of landing Deportivo La Coruna defender Fabricio Coloccini.

"It's ongoing, it's not a done deal," he stressed. "He's a good player, he must be because he plays for Argentina and not many bad players play for Argentina, but I think it would be a bit premature to say any more until anyone's signed."
