Newcastle United boss Chris Hughton has no intentions of selling Andy Carroll.

Carroll has been linked with several Premiership rivals since Toon's promotion.

But Hughton told the Evening Chronicle: "He's an exciting player and one we're delighted to have. We'll hopefully see an improvement.

"He's a good age and next season is all about the next chapter for him."
