Newcastle United boss Chris Hughton expects a busy summer market in the Premiership.

Hughton expects only an elite group of Premier League sides throwing around any financial weight.

He told the Evening Chronicle: "The bigger signings will be from your Man Citys and Chelseas, and maybe Spurs.

"That level of club will be bringing in the bigger signings, but there will be movement amongst all of that, and there will be movement at Newcastle.

"What happens at this stage of the season is you're starting to see a slow drip of transfers, and that will escalate.

"What's more important than bringing in players early, is bringing in players."
