Kevin Nolan is being backed for a big season with promoted Newcastle United.
The influential former Bolton Wanderers skipper - who dragged the Trotters from the relegation zone in the Premier League and into Europe - has already revealed his hunger for the new season in a black-and-white shirt.
Toon boss Chris Hughton told the Evening Chronicle: "He's a big player for us.
"He was a big part of what we achieved last season.
"All the players are the same - there's a genuine excitement to be back in the Premier League.
"We'll need him to be a big player again."
