Newcastle United boss Chris Hughton says Sol Campbell is edging closer to full fitness.
Campbell is currently on a separate fitness programme to the rest of his team-mates with the former England defender battling to be fit for United's away game at Wolves at week on Saturday.
Hughton told the Evening Chronicle: "Sol is not too far away, he currently has a programme and he's working on that.
"He can't wait to get that shirt on his back, but once he's back and in the team we want him to stay there."
