Newcastle boss Hughton banking on quiet January market

Newcastle United boss Chris Hughton is counting on a quiet January market.

At this stage, Hughton doesn't expect to be making any changes.

He told The Journal: "I'm not anticipating anyone leaving or anyone coming in, but you have to constantly adapt to circumstances.

"At the moment nobody has said to me they want to leave and we are intent on making use of the squad we already have. Some players are a little unhappy because they are not in the team and they want to be playing, but that is normal. Nobody has knocked on my door and said they want to leave in January and hopefully that remains the case.

"We haven't received any bids and we don't invite any, but you have to see what the circumstances are when the window opens. We will deal with anything if and when it happens."
