Newcastle United boss Sam Allardyce says he'll maintain interest in Barcelona defender Edmilson.

He said: "It's one for the future. The injury is a concern and you would have to structure something when that injury has been resolved.

"It may have to wait until next January. But saying that, we probably wouldn't have got him anyway. He probably would have gone to AC Milan or Inter Milan rather than Newcastle."
