Newcastle United boss John Carver says Facundo Ferreyra is in his plans.

Ferreyra, on-loan from Shakhtar Donetsk, has been told he has a clean slate at the club by Carver.

When asked on the striker's whereabouts, Carver said: "He's injured at the moment. He's had a problem with his back, he's had an injection.

"I sat everybody on Tuesday morning and said everybody has a clean slate."
