Newcastle United boss Rafa Benitez is being linked with Everton.

The Daily Mail says Benitez has been linked with a sensational move to Everton - should the Magpies be relegated.

The 56-year-old managed the Toffees' Merseyside rivals Liverpool for six years, leading the Reds to the 2005 Champions League trophy, and is still adored by the majority of the Anfield faithful so it remains to be seen whether he would step across the city divide.

Yet Benitez's name has been mentioned among the Goodison Park hierarchy as a potential replacement for Roberto Martinez, should the Everton boss be sacked and Newcastle go down.
