Newcastle United boss Rafa Benitez is planning a double raid on Manchester City.
TheDaily Mail says Benitez has held discussions with Txiki Begiristain, Manchester City's Director of Football, over moves for Brazil midfielder Fernando and Eliaquim Mangala, the France defender.
Fernando has been a peripheral figure for Pep Guardiola this season and has only made 12 appearances in the Premier League.
Mangala, meanwhile, has spent the season on-loan at Valencia.
There is no place for him, however, at City and they will look to recoup a significant chunk of the £42million they invested in him in 2014.
