Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez has admitted the club must sell before they can buy players.
Benitez is aware that finances are tight at Newcastle. Owner Mike Ashley was not able to sell the club in the summer, despite Benitez securing another year in the Premier League.
The Spanish manager is committed to the club, but he will have to be very clever this summer to improve the team.
He was asked by Sky Sports if he needed to sell before buying new players. He responded by saying: "Yeah, maybe. I think it's normal for us now to think it will be like that.
"We have to adapt. That is the situation. Are we happy with that? Obviously not 100 per cent, but we will try to do our best to be sure the team is strong enough and we can compete in the Premier League."
