Newcastle boss Allardyce: One more signing will do

Newcastle United boss Sam Allardyce hopes to make one more signing before the summer market closes.

"Sadly there's no movement on the transfer front at the moment. I'm just hoping we'll get one in this week and I'll keep hoping," Allardyce said. "But I'm very happy with the squad we've got. The concern is the international players going away and then coming back without any injuries, but of course it'll be good to see José Enrique getting fitter, Michael Owen playing for England and Emre [Belozoglu] getting some match practice for Turkey.

"Hopefully they'll come back fitter and adding to the strength in depth of the squad. That'll be very good, we're moving forward OK and come Friday we want to have as big a squad available for Middlesbrough."
