Sam Allardyce is convinced Newcastle United have pulled off a coup in landing former Middlesbrough goalkeeper coach Paul Barron.
"I'm delighted to welcome Paul because initially he was someone I thought I might not be able to get," he told United's official website. "He's a highly qualified member of staff and his experience and expertise will help enhance our goalkeepers. Terry Gennoe was fantastic in the time I was here but could not continue because of his injury. We have been lucky to get Paul in and I believe we have one of the best goalkeeping coaches in the country."
