Newcastle expect keeper Tim Krul to be fit for this weekend's Premier League game against Leicester at St James' Park after suffering a "very minor elbow injury" while training with Holland. The club revealed on Wednesday morning he had suffered ligament damage, before confirming later that the 26-year-old is in line to take on the Foxes as Newcastle bid for their first Premier League win of the season.
"Tim Krul has been further assessed today by the club's medical staff and the club can confirm that he has nothing more than a very minor elbow injury," a Newcastle statement read.
"The club will continue to monitor the situation but are confident that he will be available for the game against Leicester City on Saturday."
