Newcastle United are set to make a fresh move for Lille fullback Mathieu Debuchy.

The Journal says Toon are set to lodge a second bid for priority defensive target Debuchy by the end of the week as they step up efforts to land the France international.

United made an initial offer of £4million for the right-back at the start of the month but believe they can land the 26-year-old for £6million.
