Newcastle United are launching a £2.5 million bid for FC Copenhagen defender Brede Hangeland.
The Mirror says Toon boss Sam Allardyce is ready to take a gamble on Hangeland after having him watched in FC Copenhagen's Champions League tie against Benfica.
