Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko believes that the Magpies can survive relegation by defeating the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham in their remaining games.

Newcastle currently sit second from bottom in the league table, three points behind Norwich City and two behind Tyne-Wear rivals Sunderland.

The Magpies claimed their first win of Rafa Benitez's spell at the club when they convincingly defeated Swansea City 3-0 on the weekend, and Sissoko claims that the belief is returning to the squad as they get for some key fixtures.

"We've done it in the past. We have beaten Liverpool and Tottenham already this season," said Sissoko ahead of Tuesday night's clash with City.

"City are one of the best teams in England but we are at home in front of our fans and we will give everything. The belief is returning."
