Newcastle United face being priced out of a deal for Hoffenheim striker Andrej Kramaric.
The former Leicester forward has had a £43.9million price tag slapped on his head as a number of clubs circle around the goalscorer, says The Sun.
Both the Magpies and Bayern Munich are said to be keeping close tabs on the 27-year-old, who has scored 102 times in 179 appearances for Bundesliga side Hoffenheim.
He has also impressed so far with his national side at the World Cup, turning in a strong display in Croatia's 2-0 win over Nigeria.
Manager Rafa Benitez is on the lookout for at least one new striker ahead of the new season after Ayoze Perez finished as their top scorer last term with just ten.
