Newcastle United are facing a battle to keep hold of youngster Shane Ferguson.

The Evening Chronicle says the 17-year-old winger was hopeful of a dream debut for Northern Ireland against World Cup finalists Italy last night.

Glasgow giants Rangers and Celtic are already keeping a keen eye on the youngster - and are ready to make an approach for him away from St James's Park if he shows further potential.
