Norwegian youngster Marcus Pedersen is interesting Newcastle United.

The Evening Chronicle says Newcastle have sent representatives to run the rule over the 19-year-old, although Toon manager Chris Hughton has already stated he expects no imminent transfer deals in the aftermath of winning the Championship title.

Pedersen has scored five goals for Stromsgodset in nine appearances so far this season.

Fulham, Bolton, Sunderland, Blackburn, Borussia Monchengladbach, Hamburg, Celtic and Auxerre are all taking a look at the Norway Under-21 international.
