Bobby Gould has revealed Newcastle United could have missed out on their young Geordie hero Steven Taylor.
The former Wimbledon boss told the Evening Chronicle: "I first saw Steven Taylor when he was playing for England Under-15s and I told Wimbledon to go and get the kid, but nothing came of it."
