Newcastle United are lining up a return for Wigan Athletic winger Charles N'Zogbia.

The France international has been interesting Sunderland boss Steve Bruce, who signed N'Zogbia for Wigan.

But the News of the World says Newcastle have stolen a march on rivals Sunderland in the race to land the winger.

N'Zogbia is expected to leave Wigan in the summer - even if they do manage to beat the drop.
