Newcastle United academy coach Kevin Richardson is delighted with the progress of young goalkeeper Freddie Woodman.
Richardson says winning the U17 Euros with England has helped up Woodman's game.
Richardson told the Evening Chronicle: "Freddie has worked hard and has progressed through the different age groups. He's has good experience away with the England set-up, which I think has helped him become a bit more mature.
"You can see that when he comes back to the club and he's taken bits from both his time with England and ourselves and has been putting that into his performance.
"That showed against Sunderland. He did his little tricks with his movement on the line, touching the crossbar, trying to put the players off, which you do see on television. It worked for him."
