Chris Killen is hoping to seal a long-term deal at Middlesbrough. The New Zealand international joined Boro from Celtic when the Teessiders took over Killen's contract, which is due to expire in the summer.
"There haven't been any talks as yet," said the 28 year old.
"I think everyone wants to see where the team is going to be at the end of the season.
"I'm concentrating on my individual performances and helping the team to at least get in the play-offs.
"I'd definitely be interested in staying. I've really enjoyed working with the coaching staff here, and there's a good bunch of players. I'm really settled here. I've enjoyed the short time I've been here and I'd be delighted to stay.
"I think the manager and the coaching staff want to see where we're going to be before they start making a decision on players. Once the season has finished, they'll start to think about what players are going in and out.
"I have a big summer ahead of me because I have the World Cup to look forward to as well."
