New York Red Bulls are lining up a shock move for Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
Adebayor is on-loan at Spurs from Manchester City, which are actively seeking a buyer for the Togo ace.
The London Evening Standard says Adebayor will be offered the opportunity to link up again with Thierry Henry at New York Red Bulls if the Americans can agree terms with Manchester City.
The Major League Soccer side have been in contact with Adebayor's advisors and are believed to be willing to match his £175,000-a-week wage at the Premier League club.
Henry and Adebayor were team-mates at Arsenal between January 2006 and the summer of 2007, when the Frenchman left to join Barcelona. Henry, 34, has been in New York since July 2010.
