New York Red Bulls have traded Mike Magee to LA Galaxy for a second round pick in next year's MLS SuperDraft. "We want to thank Mike for his contributions to the New York franchise and wish him the best of luck in Los Angeles," New York sporting director Jeff Agoos said. "While Mike is certainly a talented player, we felt that this trade would provide us added flexibility moving forward."

The 24-year-old had five goals and an assist in 26 games last year. He struggled as a central midfielder early in the season, but found a niche as a support striker playing with Juan Pablo Angel.
