New York Red Bulls general manager Erik Soler is confident that the club can bounce back after a tough run over the past three or so months.
Since May 8, the Red Bulls have won just two of 19 MLS matches to fall from the top of the Eastern Conference table to fifth but Soler says they can fight back in the final eight matches of the season and then do some damage in the play-offs.
"The good thing is we have five games at home and we need to take advantage of those five games, and that starts this Sunday,'' Soler said.
"We don't have any long travel - we have Kansas (City) and Dallas - when we went into the Gold Cup, we were not playing great soccer (but) we were top of the table. After that we have never recovered after that, for some reason.
"We had some injuries, we had the Gold Cup, we had a lot of players out.
"Now there isn't any excuse at all. We have no more injuries than other teams, we have no traveling, so we can play at this facility (Red Bull Arena), we have no midweek games - only once in the next six weeks We have everything we need now, all the tools to go out and beat LA and all the other teams we play. That's what we have to do.
"We're under pressure, and we have to react positively towards that pressure and produce. Sports is about pressure, and we definitely have all the pressure.''
