New York Red Bulls to make some coaching staff adjustments

New York Red Bulls head coach Hans Backe has revealed that the club will make some alterations with the coaching staff ahead of next season.

The Swedish tactician confirmed to the NY Post that assistant Goran Aral will return to Europe with his wife for visa reasons.

But the Red Bulls knew this was coming and have already lined up former Norway international Jan Halvor Halvorsen as his replacement.

New York general manager Erik Soler played alongside Halvorsen at both Eik-Tonsberg and SK Brann in the 1980s, and Halvorsen later coached for Soler at IK Start when he was the co-owner and a member of the team's boards.
