New York Red Bulls coach Mike Petke says they're "ecstatic" about new signing Juninho.

Juninho arrives after a full season in Brazil with Vasco da Gama.

"It's really very simple: We know the level where he is at. We are more than ecstatic about it,'' Petke told the New York Post. "We know in detail about Juninho as a player what he can bring for us.

"At this early stage right now, it really is not necessary for us to have a look at him, to be honest with you. We have other players at camp that we need to have a look at."
