New York Red Bulls head coach Hans Backe has recovered from a gallbladder operation and will make the trip to Los Angeles to take on Chivas USA.

The Swede was at training during the week and seems to be fine after suffering severe stomach pains when the team was in Seattle to take on the Sounder last week.

In addition to Backe's return, new recruit Salou Ibrahim is set for his MLS debut after receiving his P-1 visa.

The Ghanaian striker will take his place in the Red Bulls squad according to Backe and is very likely to come off the bench against Chivas.
