New York Red Bulls coach Hans Backe is excited by what he's seeing from Thierry Henry.

Back from his loan with Arsenal, Henry scored in this week's preseason friendly against LA Galaxy.

"He came our flying (yesterday). I wonder if this is perhaps the best I've seen him since he arrived to us. His pace, dropping down (into the midfield) and driving….'' Backe told the New York Post. "He still has a lot of pace. This was probably one of his best games so far; lively, on fire.''

New signing Kenny Cooper, once of Manchester United, said of Henry: "His quality is obvious.

"His goal he took, fantastic (last) night. His overall play was fantastic as well.''
