New York Red Bulls have announced that they have acquired allocation money from the Houston Dynamo in exchange for the rights to defender Hunter Freeman and the third round MLS SuperDraft pick in the 2012 draft.
Red Bulls sporting director Erik Soler said it was a good piece of business that would allow the club to strengthen their squad for the 2011 season.
"We are pleased to acquire more allocation money, as it allows us flexibility to make different moves going forward," he said.
Freeman most recently played in Norway with IK Start after stints with Toronto FC and New York.
