New York Red Bull sporting director Jeff Agoos is upbeat over a deal for trialist Albert Celades. "We were very up front with Alberto. We have two interested parties and we're just trying to see where there's common ground,'' he told the New York Post.

"He can play in a number of positions in the midfield, but he's better suited centrally than out wide. He's a very talented player and with the pedigree he has, coming from Real Madrid and Barcelona, you know there's something behind it.

"He hasn't played in months so he's getting back into fitness. We're trying to take this all in and see how this takes shape,.'
