New York Red Bull coach Hans Backe has been fined by the MLS Disciplinary Committee for publicly criticizing an official.
The Swedish tactician made comments in regards to two incidents involving members of his team who were sent off in the 3-2 loss to New England Revolution on the weekend.
Carlos Mendes and Roy Miller were both given their marching orders by the officiating referee who endured the wrath of Backe following the match but his comments led to a $2,500 fine from the league.
