The New York Cosmos have knocked on the head rumours LA Galaxy star David Beckham will invest in the club. The Cosmos are seeking investment partners as they prepare for the next step in their comeback.
But Cosmos vice chairman Terry Byrne, a close friend of Beckham's, says it won't be the Manchester United legend.
"No,'' Byrne told the New York Post. "(People assume it) because we've been best friends for the past 15 years. But David's playing for another team, the Galaxy and not part of this plan.''
