New York City FC welcome StubHub for ticket resales

New York City FC have announced StubHub as their official fan-to-fan ticket resale marketplace, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.

The Ebay-owned ticketing platform will operate an online exchange enabling fans of the club to buy and sell tickets safely and securely.

Under the terms of the partnership, StubHub has also acquired a range of marketing and sponsorship rights, including in-stadium signage, branding on City's digital platforms, and the ability to use official team marks.

In addition to announcing the StubHub partnership, City have also confirmed that the club will no longer offer print-at-home paper tickets (PDFs) this season, and will instead move their entire ticketing operation to mobile.

'Moving in the direction of mobile ticketing will allow City Members the ability to transfer tickets to friends and family whenever they want and eliminates the two week delivery delay that was in place for PDFs,' read a club statement.

"We are confident this partnership will provide a great platform to buy and resell tickets to our NYCFC matches," said City president Jon Patricof.

"We are constantly evaluating how to better the fan experience. Staying on the forefront of tech innovations is a priority for us and will allow us to continually enhance the fan journey from start to finish."
