New York City FC coach Patrick Vieira has turned down an approach from St Etienne.

The Arsenal legend is in his second season with NYCFC.

Vieira is a target for St Etienne as a replacement for Christophe Galtier, who is leaving the club this summer.

L'Equipe says ASSE have approached Vieira about returning to France and taking charge this week.

However, Vieira has turned them down, staying committed to his job in MLS.
