Morgan, a lifelong Reds fan who stood on the Kop as a youngster, failed with several takeover bids for Liverpool before the American billionaires succeeded. The pair have maintained a high profile ever since - but Morgan will not be following suit at Wolves.
He promised: "One thing I don't want to be is one of these high-profile chairman. As far as I'm concerned Mick McCarthy speaks for the team and Jez Moxey chief executive speaks for the club. People like chairmen should be seen, not heard."
