New Wolfsburg boss McClaren eyeing Man City's Bellamy

Recently installed Wolfsburg manager Steve McClaren is eyeing Manchester City striker Craig Bellamy.

The former Middlesbrough boss, who won the Dutch Eredivisie with FC Twente this season, wants to bring the Welsh goalscorer to Germany according to reports.

It is also believed that City are keen to relieve themselves of his £80,000 a week wages and will be happy to listen to any transfer offers.

McClaren is prepared to spend about £8million on Bellamy to beat off competition from Everton and Tottenham.
