Stiliyan Petrov's new deal has placed him among Aston Villa's biggest earners.

The Mirror says Petrov has joined Aston Villa's top earners with a new four-year deal which will earn him a staggering £11million.

Bulgarian midfielder Petrov, 29, signed terms worth more than £50,000 a week at Villa Park. The star, who cleaned up at the club's recent annual awards night, is just behind £56,000-aweek Ashley Young in the pay stakes.
