New video evidence emerges for case over Chelsea's Terry

New video evidence has come to light over Chelsea captain John Terry's alleged race row with QPR defender Anton Ferdinand.

The Sun reports the video, featuring previously unseen footage from TV cameras, was given to the police who have now passed it on to the CPS.

The allegation arose from Chelsea's 1-0 defeat at QPR on October 23.

Terry was caught on camera, appearing to make a racist remark at Ferdinand, although the Chelsea defender vehemently denies this.

England skipper Terry insists Ferdinand had shouted "did you just call me a black ****?" and that he was merely answering back "no, I didn't call you a black ****" when the cameras zoomed in.

Ferdinand says no such exchange took place and police have quizzed four Chelsea players - Ashley Cole, John Obi Mikel, Branislav Ivanovic and David Luiz - to establish who is telling the truth.
