The new Sunderland manager will be handed a bumper transfer kitty for the January market.
The Mirror says the new man will be handed a £30million transfer fund by American power-broker Ellis Short.
The board meet on Wednesday, when nominations will be discussed. Texas-based billionaire Short and his associate Per-Magnus Andersson are ready to back the new boss with hard cash.
They will pledge £10million for transfers in January and another £20million in the summer to the right manager.
