Tottenham Hotspur's new stadium is set to get a makeover in terms of crowd noise, according to reports.
Architectural firm Populous have used 'acousticians' in the development of the brand new 61,000-capacity stadium to make the atmosphere seem much noisier than it actually is.
The idea is to make songs and chants last longer with a 'more clean reverberation time', according to Christopher Lee from Populous.
"The studies we've done show when you start breaking up acoustics everyone gets out of sync so they stop singing," he told GQ.
"So once they create acoustics where they don't break down, the reverberation times are quicker, they last longer and get louder.
"The louder people get, the louder people around them get, and so the atmosphere and the noise builds."
He added: "[We've even looked into] how much padding do we have in the seats, where do we have that padding in the seats, which also deals with acoustics."
The £750million Spurs development will become the Premier League's second biggest, and perhaps loudest stadium upon completion.
