Liverpool reserves coach Gary Ablett handed new French signing Damien Plessis a debut in yesterday's 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough.
Liverpool snapped up Plessis last week from Olympique Lyon and he was given 15 minutes yesterday as a second-half substitute for Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva.
