Manchester City fullback Danny Mills was impressed by Derby's spirit in yesterday's 2-2 FA Cup draw with Sheffield Wednesday.
"It was a poor start and two very poor goals but great credit to the lads. We could have capitulated at that point."
Mills, who has signed until the end of the season but hopes to earn a longer contract, admitted the early start was a disaster: "It could have been three or four but we dug in.
"We had the better of the game before that and created some good chances but couldn't convert them.
"We have to defend better and we have to cut out the defensive errors but you have to take the positives."
