Tottenham Hotspur have extended and expanded their front-of-shirt sponsorship deal with pan-Asian life insurer AIA Group, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The brand, which is serving as Spurs' shirt sponsor in all cup competitions throughout the 2013/14 season, will now become the team's primary shirt sponsor in all competitions, including the Premier League, until the end of 2018/19.
AIA's logo will replace that of Hewlett-Packard (HP), which has appeared on Tottenham's shirts after the US firm struck a one-year deal in July last year.
As part of the new five-year agreement, which is likely to be worth a significant seven-figure sum annually, AIA and Spurs will run a series of junior training programmes in 'selected AIA markets', which will see club offer coaching for underprivileged children.
Additionally, the club have committed to bringing its first team on a number of Asian tours over the period of the agreement - a region which, according to an official release, is home to some 80 million Spurs supporters.
