New Real Madrid coach Rafa Benitez admits he won't be paying close attention to the Castilla.

Benitez was unveiled as new Real coach yesterday after penning a three-year deal.

Asked about the youth setup at Real, Benitez said: "I'm someone who came up from the youth teams myself; I spent several years at Madrid's youth academy and I know who problematic it can be.

"My role is to take charge of the first team. I spoke to Zizou in Valdebebas the other day; I'm the first team coach but if he wants my opinion, I'll gladly give it to him."
