Real Madrid have nothing to envy of Barcelona, insists goalkeeper Iker Casillas. Casillas is Real's new club captain following Raul's move to Schalke 04.
He declared: "Barca will have to play us one on one and we have nothing to envy. We will not be left behind, we also have great players and young people. It's always a motivation to beat a great team like they are and we need to bring joy to Madrid fans."
On the captaincy, Casillas added: "There have been changes, and I feel a great responsibility. It is a personal challenge to take the place of an emblem like Raul. The people who have been captain has demonstrated professionalism.
"I've had very good examples, I learned from everyone and I am grateful to all. I'll try to convey the values I have given everyone, especially the young people. It is curious that after Jerzy Dudek I'm the oldest and that recently was unthinkable.
"It is a beautiful challenge and I will do my best."
