Real Madrid are preparing a bid for Arsenal ace Robin van Persie. Marca says Dutchman Van Persie's form and proof of fitness shown at the World Cup has attracted serious interest from Real chiefs Florentino Perez and Jorge Valdano.
Perez sees Van Persie as an ideal replacement for captain Raul, who will leave the club this summer.
The Real supremo is putting together a £35 million bid for Arsenal to consider.
