Tottenham are being linked with a £1 BILLION takeover bid from the Qatari government. Investment from the Qatar government has turned Paris Saint-Germain into formidable players on the European stage and sports minister Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser al-Ali told the paper that the same would happen at Spurs.
"Of course Qatar wants to own a Premier League club," he is quoted by The Sun.
"Here in Qatar we are very, very good in taking something and really transforming it into something very, very good. Even if it's good we take it to another step."
Spurs owner Joe Lewis and chairman Daniel Levy rejected a £250m bid from an Arab consortium in 2008, but could be tempted to cash in.
